Stephanie Brooks Resume Updated

I recently graduated from Georgia State with a BA in English and experience in web design, social media and online content management. While working for GSU’s Global Studies Institute I assisted in creating promotional materials for events, curated their events calendar, and built the Undergraduate section of their site. My work with this department and my dedication as an employee impressed the director of PR for the Dean of College of Arts and Sciences, who then offered me a position as a web designer. My time with the PR team was life changing, in a short time I learned SEO skills, what’s favored in web design now, how to work with a CMS, basic Javascript, and marketing strategies for the web.

In my free time I assisted the Undergraduate literary journal with their web content, showing them how to use Hootsuite for social media, Canva to produce social media images without having to learn adobe, re-designed their website, and created a calendar to enhance their blog. I also worked free-lance projects creating web pages for clients such as Walton Locksmithing and the poet Andrea Jurjevic.

My skills vary widely from writing clear content and creating engaging images for well-designed sites. As an employee, I am dependable as well as a creative problem solver who is a self-starter who works well under pressure. I enjoy being given new tasks and acquiring new skills in my free time to excel in the workplace and deliver the highest quality of content.
